We are a little over a week into the walleye season and what a season it’s been. We’ve heard from a number of anglers that this spring has been the best in a while. Walleyes are being caught from the south shore, at the way up the west shore up to the Mallard and Stony point areas on 1/8oz jigs and shiners from 7-14 foot of water. Mornings and evenings have been the best times to be out on the water with a good crankbait bite in the evenings to after dark in 6-10 foot of water. If the wind blows during the day like it has the last two days we’ve heard of fish being caught all day. It’s not too late to come up and get out on beautiful Lake Winnibigoshish’s springtime walleye bite! Give us a call and book a trip! 218-665-2268
